Privacy Policy

Gamescrate (“Gamescrate.app”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is owned and operated by Cronweb Solutions Private Limited.

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains what information may be collected when you use GamesCrate.app, why we use it, how it may be shared, how cookies and similar technologies are used, and the choices available to you.

This policy applies to GamesCrate.app and the services we make available through the website, including our gaming portal, player accounts, developer console, publisher platform, contact forms, APIs, game embeds and related services.

By using GamesCrate, you acknowledge this Privacy & Cookie Policy.

1. Information You Provide to Us

You may provide information directly to us when you use certain features.

Depending on the service you use, this may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Country
  • Username
  • Company name
  • Estimated audience information supplied during publisher registration
  • Account and profile information
  • Contact-form messages
  • Developer game-submission information
  • Publisher property information
  • Withdrawal and payout-method information
  • Support communications
  • Other information you voluntarily submit

Passwords used for developer and publisher accounts are stored in protected hashed form rather than as readable passwords.

We do not ask users to send passwords, banking passwords, PINs or other sensitive login credentials through contact forms.

2. Social Login Information

Public player accounts may use supported social-login providers such as Google.

When you choose social login, the provider may supply information that you have permitted it to share, such as:

  • Your provider account identifier
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Basic profile information

We use this information to authenticate your GamesCrate account and provide account-related functionality.

Your use of Google or another authentication provider is also subject to that provider's own privacy terms.

3. Developer and Publisher Accounts

Developers and publishers may create GamesCrate Console accounts.

We may process account information to:

  • Review applications
  • Verify email addresses
  • Authenticate account access
  • Manage submitted games
  • Manage publisher properties
  • Provide API access
  • Provide reporting
  • Calculate or administer eligible earnings
  • Process withdrawal requests
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Provide support
  • Maintain necessary accounting records

Approved publisher usernames may be treated as public identifiers when used in publisher links and integrations.

4. Information Collected Automatically

When you use GamesCrate, certain technical information may be collected automatically.

This can include:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL
  • Requested pages
  • Date and time of requests
  • Basic server logs
  • Error and security information
  • Cookie identifiers
  • Session identifiers
  • Game interaction information
  • Approximate usage statistics

We use this information to operate the service, maintain security, diagnose problems, prevent abuse and understand how the platform is used.

5. Game Activity

GamesCrate may record limited information about game activity, such as:

  • Game launches or plays
  • Game popularity
  • Favorites
  • Likes
  • Recently played games
  • Aggregated publisher activity
  • Other basic interaction metrics

The exact information depends on the website mode and the feature being used.

In No-user Mode, favorites and recently played games can be stored locally in the visitor's own browser rather than being associated with a GamesCrate account.

6. Publisher Attribution

When a visitor follows a valid GamesCrate publisher link, we may store a signed first-party publisher-attribution cookie.

Publisher attribution may remain valid for up to 7 days unless it expires, is replaced by another valid attribution, is cleared by the user, or becomes invalid.

This allows us to associate eligible activity with the referring publisher.

Invalid, inactive or suspended publisher identifiers are not intended to create valid attribution.

7. Publisher Anti-Abuse Processing

To protect the Publisher Platform against duplicate or abusive payable activity, GamesCrate may temporarily process an IP address to generate a privacy-conscious cryptographic hash or HMAC.

The raw IP address does not need to be stored in the publisher reporting database for this purpose.

Temporary duplicate-play protection is designed around a rolling period and is removed when it is no longer required.

GamesCrate may also maintain aggregated daily publisher reporting information and permanent accounting records where required for finalized earnings, withdrawals, payments, fraud prevention or legal obligations.

Detailed publisher traffic reporting may be periodically deleted or consolidated as part of our data-retention process.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar technologies can include local storage, session storage and device identifiers.

GamesCrate may use cookies or similar technologies for several purposes.

Essential Cookies

These may be necessary for:

  • Authentication
  • Session security
  • CSRF/security protection
  • Publisher attribution
  • Consent preferences
  • Fraud prevention
  • Website operation

Blocking essential cookies may prevent some functions from working correctly.

Preference Cookies

These may remember choices such as:

  • Light or dark theme
  • Interface preferences
  • Cookie-consent choices
  • Other display settings

Local Browser Storage

In No-user Mode, GamesCrate may use browser local storage for features such as:

  • Device favorites
  • Recently played games
  • Basic local game activity

This information remains in that browser unless it is cleared by the user, the browser, or website functionality.

It is not automatically synchronized across devices.

Analytics Cookies

Where analytics tools are enabled, analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies to help us understand traffic and website performance.

Advertising Cookies

GamesCrate may display advertising supplied directly by us or by third-party advertising partners.

Depending on your location, consent choices and the advertising technology used, advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to:

  • Deliver advertisements
  • Measure advertising performance
  • Prevent fraud
  • Limit repeated advertising
  • Generate reporting
  • Provide contextual or, where legally permitted and consented to, personalized advertising

Google's publisher policies specifically require websites using its advertising services to disclose that third parties may place or read cookies or use identifiers in connection with advertising.

You can usually manage non-essential cookies through our consent interface where available and through your browser settings.

9. Cookie Consent

Where required, GamesCrate may show a cookie-consent notice before using certain non-essential cookies or advertising technologies.

Your choices may be remembered using a cookie or similar browser storage.

You can also delete stored cookies through your browser.

Deleting cookies may reset:

  • Theme preferences
  • Login sessions
  • Consent choices
  • Publisher attribution
  • Other browser-specific settings

10. Third-Party Games

Many games available through GamesCrate may be supplied or hosted by third-party game developers or providers.

When you launch a third-party game, content may be loaded from the provider's servers.

The provider may receive technical information necessary to deliver the game, such as your IP address, browser information and request information.

Some third-party games may contain their own advertising, analytics, cookies or technologies.

GamesCrate does not control every cookie or technology used inside independently operated third-party game content.

We encourage users to review the relevant provider's privacy information where appropriate.

11. Advertising and Advertising Partners

GamesCrate may monetize parts of the service through advertising.

Advertising may include:

  • Display advertisements
  • Game-related advertisements
  • Pre-game advertising
  • Sponsored placements
  • Third-party game-provider advertising
  • Other clearly identified commercial content

Advertising providers may independently process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable law.

Google explains that advertising cookies may be used for purposes including ad delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention and relevance.

12. Anti-Bot and Security Services

GamesCrate may use services such as Cloudflare Turnstile to protect registrations, logins, contact forms and other sensitive functionality from bots and abuse.

Cloudflare states that Turnstile may process security signals including IP address, TLS/browser characteristics, user-agent information and site information for bot detection.
